Each semester, GEM employs several co-ops who support daily office and field operations. Former co-ops often continue to work part-time after their co-op experience or go on to become full-time GEM associates after graduation.
Co-Op Opportunities
- Estimating – Work with senior estimators, provide quantity take-offs, assemble estimates and contact material suppliers and subs. Attend pre-bid meetings and job site walk-through meetings. Help to assemble estimates on bid days.
- Project Engineering – Work with senior project managers on one large project or several smaller ones. Assist with material deliveries, problem resolutions (RFI’s), project planning and closeout. Receive, review, and track shop drawings and other documents. Help to maintain and update schedules.
